Under 18's can mosh happily at this punk metal festival
There are not many punk metal music festivals for the youth of Brisbane, but the Live it Up Festival certainly fits the bill. Designed specifically with teenagers in mind, you must be under 18 to get into this Festival.
Popular Byron Bay group Parkway Drive headline the Festival, supported by Violent Soho, indie band The Jungle Giants, Allday, hardcore metal group In Hearts Wake, The Creases and Lunatics on Pogosticks.
There are a lot of music festivals around, such as Bluesfest, Caloundra Music Festival, Blues on Broadbeach and the new Big Pineapple Music Festival. All of them are mainstream blues, rock or alternative. While punk or metal festivals such as Soundwave, tend to be too aggressive for teenagers still learning how to mosh and mix in the crowd.
