Live in the Amphitheatre is back, starting Wednesday 4th January 2107, and it's bigger and better than previous years! If you are unsure what this is, I will enlighten you.
Summer is not complete without a visit to an outdoor cinema and Live in the Amphitheatre is just that. It is held in the Jacaranda Amphitheatre - Civic Centre, Wanneroo, and if you have never been to an outdoor cinema, you must go. It's the best evening out, whether you have children or not.
Gates open at 6pm with the movie starting around 7.30pm when the sun has set. So pack a delicious picnic, take a rug or a chair (high chairs are permitted in the back row only and this area fills up fast) and set up early. You can enjoy the pre-show atmosphere plus have a chance to catch up with friends, family and neighbours. The kids can run around, catch up with their friends, make new friends and use up their energy so they will sit and watch the whole movie. Everyone will be happy. There will also be a food and drink vendor there so you can indulge in some treats too.
These wonderfully fun, family friendly evenings are free, however tickets are still required and you have to show your ticket and ID to show you are a City of Wanneroo resident on admission. Tickets are available for week one from 9am Monday 12th December 2016 exclusively to City of Wanneroo residents. There is a maximum of four adult tickets per email address. Children under 15 years require a child's ticket and must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.
The season runs for 8 weeks and will feature a mix of blockbuster, family friendly, action and comedy films. The season kicks off on Wednesday 4th January with the delightful Paddington family movie. Live in the Amphitheatre is open every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for the duration of the season with a new film each evening. There really is a movie for everyone, so check out which dates you are going to attend by clicking here.
