Let us start with the Thuan Phat Supermarket, which I hesitate to say (out of risk of an overstatement), may be the best Asian Supermarket in Adelaide. Consistent fresh stock, very reasonable prices, a wide range of fresh meat and fish, a store of appliances and utensils and always a stock of my current favourite herb, sawtooth coriander or Ngo Gai.
On the side facing Regency Road is the immensely popular Vietnamese Roll and Salad Bar, Banh Mi Thit. The queue for this store between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm any workday is often out the door as local workers and tradies seek some of the nicest and freshest food fare around.
Then inside the compound, which has ample, but often well-patronised parking, is the specialist restaurant Pho 75, which again can lay claim to a best of the best award. They only do Pho, and their prices remain under $10 for a satisfying soup for lunch or dinner.
The last establishment worth a mention is, Vien Linh, the second cousin to the very popular NNQ in Woodville and Little NNQ in Gouger St. Also a crowded little restaurant for lunch and dinner the food and service are excellent.
Each restaurant has a different day off early in the week, so just check to avoid disappointment.
