On Wednesday 22 January 2020, your kids will have the opportunity to check out the Little Sprouts Kitchen Garden at Adelaide Botanic Garden. This school holiday program is a good way for them to learn how growing your own food is not only good for their health, but also fun.

During the event, kids will get to grow and harvest vegetables. They will also be able to hold worms from the garden's worm farm. Little Sprouts Kitchen Garden is located between Goodman Building and First Creek Wetland at the eastern edge of Adelaide Botanic Garden. This kitchen garden has garden beds of seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs. There are also structures for compost and worms. An enclosed area, in the shape of a large basket weave dome, is used for storytelling and group discussions.
