The Banana bread from Little Somethin Somethin is a decadent fusion of breakfast and dessert. Thick slices of moist-yet-crisp banana bread juxtaposes against a generous serve of thick-cut bacon. Somehow, this works as a breakfast on its own. But then, on the side, is a large dollop of peanut flavoured whipped cream with two sweet/nutty/salty pieces of toffee brittle.

The peanut cream is surprisingly mild, but it works beautifully to offset the saltiness of the bacon. Everything on the plate has been chosen because it plays well together, and the only way to eat this bizaare meal is with a little bit of everything squeezed onto your fork.

Except for the toffee. If you have room, eat it last. Otherwise, wrap it up and take it home for later.
