If you've got a special little princess or prince in your life, then you might want to check out the beautiful high tea that the Pagoda Resort and Spa have organised that is fit for royalty and comes with Queen Elsa's approval. A good time is pretty much guaranteed, if the smiles and joy that I witnessed on my visit are anything to go by.

I recently went along with an excited little prince and princess in my party, who couldn't have been more delighted by the event.

The royal treatment starts off upon arrival, where you are greeted and taken to your designated table. The whole room is laid out for this grand occasion - for our visit, the decor was sumptuous blue chair covers, crisp white linen with a touch of frost and magic provided by some Frozen inspired table and room decorations.

As soon as the kids sat down, they noticed their very own Frozen themed refreshments, where real attention to detail was taken to ensure that kids would be just as pleased as the adults with the selection of goodies on offer.

Kids indulged in Frozen blue jellies with snowflakes (white chocolate) sprinkled on top, finger sandwiches, meringue snowmen (Olaf's), fairy godmother bread, cupcakes, scones, fruit skewers, finger sandwiches and some other treats. For the thirsty royal subjects, kids could enjoy apple juice, melted snow (water) or the popular blue lemonade.

Adults were treated to a majestic feast too, with finger sandwiches, delectable quiche, scones with cream and jam, macarons, banana bread, strawberry tarts and I've got to give a special shout out to the tiny chocolate bites that were a huge highlight of the adult treats. Adults received a glass of sparkling wine, and were invited to help themselves to endless cups of coffee and tea.

Throughout the high tea event, kids could enjoy themed coloring in sheets and crayons which provided a handy distraction whilst the children waited for the event to start.

The Entertainment

Prior to this event, I knew that some special guests were invited, all the way from Arendelle, the kingdom from the film Frozen. My expectations were that there might be a song and a meet and greet, but kids and parents alike were delighted to be entertained by an extended story and song telling production of Frozen, bought to life by the ever fantastic Encore performers.

Kids were treated to Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Prince Hans re-telling the story of Frozen which included simply beautiful renditions of all of the popular songs from Frozen. The entertainment had kids spellbound, and the engagement from the cast with the children, was priceless.

After the entertainment, the Frozen cast came round to meet everyone. This was beautifully organised, with the cast coming round to each individual table allowing kids to have quality one on one time with the cast members without having to queue or wait in a huge line.

This was a particularly special time for the children who got to speak to their favourite characters individually. The performers from Encore were fantastic with all of the kids, taking the time for unhurried conversations and really engaging with each and every child.

After the meet and greet sessions, the cast took to the stage one final time for a encore rendition of Let it Go, but this time with an added special effect. Kids were treated to snowfall and plenty of it, and if the squeals and screams of delight were anything to go by, this was the highlight of the event.

After the shower of snowflakes, it was time to leave this special event, with one last surprise for the guests. Each little prince or princess received their own gift. Princesses got a beautiful party bag containing a variety of princess accessories and Frozen themed items and little Princes were given a Frozen colouring in set. This was a great way to end a fantastic event and the kids in my group, definitely left on a high.

Based on the popularity of this event, Pagoda will be running similar high tea occasions in the near future, possibly introducing other character themed events in addition to Frozen. To keep up to date with planned events, just 'like' their facebook page here so that you don't miss out.
