In an area characterised by stunning vistas,
Little Manly Point is a well kept secret. The Harbour beach reserve, located at the base of Stuart Street, has enviable views over the serene seas of Little Manly Cove.
While it may be a comparatively forgotten corner of Manly, Little Manly Point is conveniently located within two hundred metres of Little Manly Beach, and boasts two BBQs and a playground.
Although there are enough pockets of shade and seats to ensure that casual visitors are well-tended in the park, the unquestionable focus of
the Council is putting Little Manly Point forward as an ideal location for events.
The park is available for events up to 10pm, and booking must be confirmed within one week. While marquees are permitted, they must not damage the turf of the park, largely excluding what the Council describes as "peg and pole" marquees.
Because of the small geographical space, it is vitally important to make timely bookings. If your event has 30 or more guests, fees will be charged. For
weddings, there is a $341 booking fee.
Although there are certain applications that must be made to the Council to ensure that the Point is protected from human-caused damage, there is no doubting that the beautiful views of
Spring Cove and
Store Beach will act as magnificent backdrops to any wedding photos.
Of course, there are practical considerations that may temper Little Manly Point as an ideal location for bigger events. It should be noted that there are only 25 parking spots available, so guests must find alternative ways of arriving at the Point for the ceremony.
