New Farm cafe oozing with urban cool
This little New Farm cafe has gone through several changes in the last several years. It was previously Cafe Bouquiniste, Raw Paw Paw and even an RSPCA charity shop. Today, Little Loco holds its own in the New Farm cafe scene.
A little look inside
I stopped for a cuppa and had a single origin coffee (at $3.50) and must admit it was one of the best I have had in Brisbane. Big call, I know, but it was seriously good.
Little Loco is located just a short walk from Merthyr Village and while the inside is small, it does exude urban cool. It is not fussy, just clean white walls, weathered wooden floors, a wall of plants and simple bench seating. The covered outdoor seating area at the front and the side of the shop are great spots for people watching, relaxing or sampling menu items like chai pudding ($14.50), coconut panna cotta ($14.50) or poached egg on waffles ($16.50)
Fresh flowers are placed at the front door for those wanting to take away a bright bouquet. Street parking is available in Merthyr Road.
I left wishing that Little Loco would relocate to my home suburb and it could become my little local. We live in hope.
