With school holidays and summertime just around the corner, the Little Lifesavers program run at various locations across Queensland, is a great opportunity to combine fun, play and water safety all in one.
Surf Life Saving Queensland is committed to achieving zero preventable deaths in the state's public waters, and what better way to do this then through introducing kids to life saving strategies without having to travel to a surf beach or join a club.
This popular community based program is aimed at children aged 5-11 years old and runs out of several locations across Queensland including the Gold Coast, South Bank Parklands in Brisbane, Raby Bay, Sunshine Coast, Bundaberg, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns Esplanade Lagoon.
The highly skilled surf lifesavers will guide your children through a structured program designed to build their confidence in the water and teach them how to stay safe at the beach.
Participants will be introduced to board paddling, wading, dolphin diving, beach sprints and flags as well as some rescue techniques, patient care, CPR – all vital skills they will carry with them for life.
The LIttle Lifesavers Pack includes long-sleeved Little Lifesavers rash shirt, Little Lifesavers bag, water bottle, activity booklet and completion certificate.
