Spain, France, Italy, you've seen it all? You explored all the Croatian islands, you drank beer in Prague, you attended Oktoberfest in Germany, you skied in the Swiss Alps… What else should you put on your bucket list? If you are at a loss of ideas, here are some less know countries that you should visit at least once in your lifetime:

Kyrgyzstan

Located on the legendary Silk Road, Kyrgyzstan is one of those off the beaten track destinations that still preserve their natural beauty intact. 94% covered by the mountain and featuring peaks of over 7000 m, Kyrgyzstan offers beautiful scenery and is a great place to visit for trekkers and hikers. Issyk-Kul Lake, the Ala-Archa Canyon and the mountains of Tian Shan offer multiple opportunities for hiking on foot or on horseback for several days. Beyond these natural wonders, travelers will not find neither architecture, nor refined cuisine in Kyrgyzstan, but they will meet the hospitable people, many of whom still lead a semi-nomadic existence.

Brunei

Overlooking the South China Sea, Brunei is located in the North of the island of Borneo. Although small, this country is one of the richest in Southeast Asia because of its main natural resource: oil. Brunei is a great destination for those who want to discover the beauty of the Asian rainforest, with its incredible plant and animal species, but also for divers. With numerous shipwrecks located in the coast's proximity and crystal clear waters that allow visibility to tens of meters, Brunei is also a good snorkeling spot. Those interested in Muslim architecture, should visit the capital city - Bandar Seri Begawan, also known as BSB or just Bandar. The beauty of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque reflected in the water will simply stun you. Another must-visit place is the water village Kampong Ayer.

Vanuatu

An island on the South Pacific Ocean, Vanuatu has a long history that goes back over 3500 years. As a tourist destination, Vanuatu offers pristine beaches and majestic waterfalls, but also many amazing snorkeling and scuba dive spots. Hiking Yasur Mountain would be a great experience for outdoors lovers, while foodies will certainly appreciate the opportunity to taste exotic dishes and try out a new cuisine.
