Sometimes we just need a little something to hold us over until dinner. This isn't a bad thing. You should not starve yourself. Your blood sugar can go out of whack. Your metabolism can get screwed up.
Then, if you do not have something to hold you over, you could also end up gorging!
The following are what I think would be mega good for you...
rice cake with a tablespoon of peanut butter.
side garden salad with your choice of dressing.

dips, such as creamy salsa dip, buffalo chicken dip, etc.
smoothie or meal replacement shake, such as Boost or Slim-Fast.
