Western suburbs rejoice! There is a new organic fruit and vegetable shop in West Croydon carrying a really nice range of fruit, veg, dairy, canned goods plus some miscellaneous extras like eggs, coffee, and raw chocolate.

Little Green Grocer

A lot of people hear 'organic' and they immediately think 'expensive'. Whilst some of the produce there is noticeably more expensive than at the supermarket, a lot wasn't. I can personally speak for the value and quality of the spinach, kale, broccoli, lemons, sweet potato and onions, all of which were not markedly more expensive than elsewhere, but which make me sleep a lot easier knowing they are pesticide free and locally produced.

But even if you're not 100% sold on the whole 'organic' thing, it's worth a look anyway, because it's a small, family run shop, bringing you produce from the Adelaide area.

They've been up and running for a few weeks now I believe, at 547 Port Rd, West Croydon. You can contact them on Facebook.

Alternatively, phone 0402 257 608 or email orders@littlegreengrocer.com.au.

LGG is very conveniently open 10.30-6.30 during the week, and until 5 pm on the weekend.

Your community and your body will both benefit from a visit to the Little Green Grocer- there's really no downside!
