Roll your own combination plate

Have you really had great Vietnamese food, if you haven't been to Little Da Nang? Personally, I'm not one to queue for a restaurant but this is the one place I will make an exception for.

Baby pho

Their menu is perfect for eaters who love variety and want to have a little bit of everything. Are you a solo diner who can't decide between a piping-hot bowl of pho and broken rice? Here you can order an entree/baby-sized pho and satisfy both cravings.

Roll your own with pancake, spring rolls and chicken wings

One of our favourite orders is a 'roll your own platter' that comes with savoury pancake, spring rolls, crispy chicken wings and salad. The greens are always very fresh, which complements the crispy pancake and spring rolls perfectly. The chicken wings are delicious - just remembering the sweet, sticky sauce that coated the crunchy chicken pieces makes my mouth water already.

You can also order a DIY rice paper roll platter.

Start by dipping and soaking your rice paper roll to soften it.

The trick is to only dip it for a few seconds to ensure the entire surface has been submerged. It may feel too stiff as you return it to your plate but it will continue to absorb the water and will be easily pliable by the time you've finished adding in your desired fillings.

I fold the side closest to me, over the fillings first. This keeps the ingredients secure, and then I'll fold over the perpendicular edges, before rolling everything away from me into the perfect package of deliciousness.

By the way, you have got to try the steamed rice cakes, or banh beoh, here. Banh translates to cake whilst beoh means water fern, the plant that the presentation of the cakes is based upon. If you've not tried them before, I would recommend asking for it to be served half and half. The 'wet' version has a crispy topping that mostly relies on the accompanying fish sauce to flavour it. There's a slightly spicy kick to it and the nuttiness is addictive. On the other hand, the 'dry version' is topped with a creamy savoury paste. Both are very good, but everyone has their preference - which team do you belong to?

Bun Rieu

Seafood lovers will enjoy this hot and spicy crab noodle soup.

Don't forget to try their drinks. Their custard apple smoothie will have you hooked.
