Everyone loves cheese - creamy, hard, blue, cheddar - the world of cheese is exciting and delicious.

No one knows this better than a Central Coast cheese artisan Little Creek Cheese, a family-owned business. This award-winning cheese factory has won over 165 awards, and now you can have a little tour of the place and taste up to 12 different kinds of cheese that they make.

Have you ever wanted to make your own cheese? Well, you can even do that at the workshop. We made ricotta – nice and simple, believe it or not, it's super easy!

The proud duo, Susan and Russell, are well known for their cheddars and what started as a hobby quickly expanded into a business 8 years ago.

Now they have visitors from across the state come and try their famous cheese – everything from gourmet chilli cheddar to basil and garlic feta.

All cheese is entirely handmade, using Australian and Hungarian family recipes with no added colours. The most impressive thing about the cheese-making process at Little Creek Cheese is the lack of large equipment. That's because each batch of cheese is handmade with simple tools and a whole lot of love.

They're situated at the Old Wyong Milk Factory, about 45 minutes out of Sydney, which in itself is a beautiful place to spend the day, have lunch or even a bbq near the lake.

Spend the day behind the scenes with the cheesemakers and discover some of the history of the site, as well as the beginnings of Little Creek Cheese.

The experience includes a 2 hour tour with access into the factory, cheese tasting, Ricotta and Paneer cheese-making lesson and then you get to take them home!

Adults $110.00, Children over 10 years of age $80.00.

Experiences run every Saturday and Sunday 9:30am and takes about 2 hours, minimum 4 people maximum 10 per session. or more information visit

Little Creek Cheese is open everyday from 10am to 4pm.
