Melbourne is a classy cafe city
An excellent cafe has dedicated staff, a relaxing atmosphere, brilliant food and coffee, and exceptional service. Little Collins Street is a well known cafe strip in the Melbourne CBD with an astonishing number of cafes and restaurants. After some debate, here is the list of the Top 10 Little Collins Street Cafes ranked in order.

1. Cafe De Tuscany.

Cafe de Tuscany is at 1/429 Little Collins Street, and may just be the best cafe on Little Collins Street. The staff are cheery and professional. Breakfast is cheap and tasty, the coffee is superior, and they serve a range of great sandwiches and cakes throughout the day. The area upstairs is also great for quick business meetings during the week, or a relaxing place to sip tea and gaze down at Little Collins Street. Enquiries: (03) 9670 0192

2. Chestnut Exchange Cafe

This cafe and bar is at 530 Little Collins Street. They have a wide range of teas and coffee, with friendly service. 3. Sensory Lab

Sensory Lab is at 297 Little Collins Street. It specialises in exceptional coffee, although it has received some inconsistent reviews lately. The cool scientific decor, and the precise and expert staff, can make this a quirky cafe experience. They also sell coffee ingredients and equipment to devoted fans. Enquiries: (03) 9645 0065.

4. Little Wish Cafe

This cafe is at shop 10/530 Little Collins Street. It is a bit tucked away, but well worth finding for the great coffee and sandwiches. Enquiries: (03) 9621 1013

5. Caffe E Torta

Caffe E Torta is at 314 Little Collins Street. Tasty croissants, grilled sandwiches, and a delicious sweets menu is available daily. Coffees are prepared with care, and relatively affordable. Enquiries: (03) 9650 1915.

6. Le Petit Gateau

Located at 458 Little Collins Street, Le Petit Gateau has so many delicious cakes and sweets, that you probably won't notice their dedication to high quality coffee. Enquiries: 9944 8893.

7. Quists Coffee

Quists is at 166 Little Collins Street. This was Melbourne's first coffee roaster, and they take great pride in their coffee and you can also purchase their coffee blends and teas. Enquiries: (03) 9650 1530.

8. Famish'd Cafe

Located at 130 Collins Street, Famish'd has great value food including toasties, salads, and sandwiches, served with strong coffee. Enquiries: (03) 9004 0322.

9. Little Bean Blue Cafe

Little Bean Blue Cafe is at 15 Little Collins Street near Spring Street. The coffee is very good, and there are slices and snacks for morning tea. Enquiries: (03) 9650 0046

10. De Alleyway Espresso

This cafe is located at Shop 1A 318-322 Little Collins Street. Aside from the great coffee, you may be tempted by the delicious brownies, muffins, and cheesecake.
