Typical Gemini, with the concentration span of a gnat & not one for sitting still. My old Da used to say that "you're a long time dead". So my mantra is get busy living. Please join me for more at brizzymaysbooksandbruschettasite.wordpress.com

Let's just duck in for a coffee or a glass of wine instead
A friend and I ran a few errands the other day. It was one of those typical Brisbane summer days - vast blue sky, wickedly hot and humid. I'm telling you nothing new, right?

Naturally, we rewarded ourselves with refreshments after completing our tasks at an interesting establishment down behind the Cleveland Library, called The Little Bloomfield Cafe and Wine Bar.

Entrance

This area has been a cafe in several previous lives and re-emerged as a Cafe and Wine Bar in 20016.

What's the point of difference with this cafe? Okay, I confess. We initially stopped to enjoy coffee and cake, and found the surrounds so relaxing we finished with a glass of wine. Wicked, I know.

Alfresco in the bay breeze

Despite the heat of the day we opted to sit outside under the shade of the huge tree that takes centre stage in the courtyard. The cooling breeze coming off Moreton Bay was certainly better than any air-conditioning unit.

How lovely is this?

Inside there are ceiling fans and the back end of the cafe is open to also take advantage of those beautiful breezes.

Tropical feeling

The Little Bloomfield Cafe opens for Breakfast at 6:30am and Lunch, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, they have a Breakfast/Brunch menu till noon.

On Saturday evenings the Wine Bar really comes into its own with tapas and live music. I really look forward to sampling this soon as the local gossip has it that the charcuterie boards are delicious.

This Cafe is centrally located, at 21 Bloomfield Street, Cleveland, and caters for all ages. Indeed, if you visit the library these days you can order your coffee through the hole-in-the-wall. Now that's service!

Might have to run a few errands again next Saturday night ...

I love this place too! It's comfortable, relaxed and easy. It's also got a few convertable vegetarian options if that's your challenge. I really think Cleveland is showing signs of renewal with places like this popping up in and around the centre. I'll have to try the Saturday night wine bar option, it would be beautiful at night there looking out over the marina.
