A market for charity

It's always a great feeling giving back to the community or to help someone out so here's something for you to consider. This Sunday 1st May 2016, a one off local community event called 'Little Black Market' will be held from 9am-1pm at 270 The Parade, Kensington. A car park market aimed at raising money for The Jodi Lee Foundation, which has a vision of eliminating bowel cancer in Australia.

The idea started when organiser Michaela signed up to take part in the Jodi Lee Foundation Trek, an 80km two day trek on the Heysen Trail. Instead of asking family and friends to simply donate, they wanted to create something that would allow
local teens and anyone in the community to try their ideas out at stalls for a low cost.

They've had good support so far with stalls selling cards, books, garden plants, beautiful candles, baby wear and more, with stalls like Soal Sister, Izamo, The Five Collection and The Native Garden already dedicated. It's a breakfast affair too as there will be fresh juices, lemonade, bread, coffee and other eats to keep your rumbling tummy happy.

It's a great way to not only support a local charity but also the community and stall holders so I hope you mark the date in your diary.
