Got a budding Steven Speilberg in your midst? Can't get your toddler off the video-cam on your phone? If they haven't already entered their short film in the Little Big Shots Festival, it's a bit late for this year, but they might be interested to learn more and see the results of some pretty fabulous efforts by other budding young film makers. Cart the kids out of cold and into the Little Big Shots International Film Festival for Kids which kicks off at Melbourne's ACMI on Saturday 9th June.
There are a great range of kids movies screening throughout the festival, though my children's favourites are definitely the Kids movies made by kids for kids, which are part of the Festival Awards program.
There are also terrific workshops for kids aged 5-15, including How to Draw Manga and stop-motion animation workshops. For budding thespians, there are Screen Acting for Kids workshops.
