Who doesn't love crystal clear water?
A little over two hours drive north of Sydney and you will find yourself in the glorious surrounds of Port Stephens and its many beautiful beaches. While all the beaches are amazing in their own right, I fell in love with Shoal Bay, and in particular, Little Beach.

Having young children means having to find a family friendly beach. That means shade, shelter, no waves, with amenities and food within easy reach. While Little Beach provides you with all that, you still feel like you are worlds away.
Even though it can get busy, lots of kids mean your child will have plenty of other little people to build sandcastles with, giving you a breather to take in the view and laze in the picture perfect water (while keeping an eye on your little ones).

Being just a 15 minute walk to the centre of Nelson Bay or a 10 minute walk to the main road of Shoal Bay Village, which is more quaint than the busier Nelson Bay, Little Beach also has BBQ facilities, parking, a playground, showers, toilets and a kiosk. Or you can simply pack a picnic.
