As I sipped my (virgin) Lychee Mojito and the "fog frog" blew cooling breezes/mist on my face, the heat of the day dissipated and a sense of relaxation descended. Ahhh, summer in South East Queensland. "Life is too short - enjoy", the acronym of "Litse" (pronounced Lits-ee) was starting to make perfect sense.
Everything from bread to dips to dessert sauces are made on site at Litse Lounge - coffee beans were even being roasted while we sat there - and I reckon you can taste the freshness and extra care in every bite/sip. The produce is super fresh and locally grown and they have fitted the restaurant out with ultra cool, modern furnishings. The only downside is a lack of inspirational views and an out of the way location at Keperra's Great Western Super Centre with take away outlets on either side.
Litse Lounge have some excellent daily specials at the moment. They are currently running a bargain Lunch Special - $24.90 for a 2 course set lunch menu or $32.90 for a 3 course set lunch menu. The restaurant has a fully licensed bar and happily cater for events and functions as well.
If you happen to be in Brisbane's north-west, I highly recommend Litse Lounge as a lunch venue, coffee and cake stop off or a tasty tapas destination. Their Lychee Mojitos are worth the trip too.
