The 2nd annual Guinness Oyster Festival, in ode to the annual Gallway International Oyster and Seafood Festival will kick off from 2.00pm till 7.00pm on 24 May at The Last Jar.

Irish seafood festivals and oysters are like the Irish and Guinness - well acquainted. The festival will provide an abundance of both with $2 an oyster and $6 a pint.


Sample Tasmanian and South Australian Pacific and Sydney Rocks oysters served up fresh, Kilpatrick or Guinness battered.

Between lively gigs of The Drunken Poachers and Dan Bourke and Paul Quinn watch some of Melbourne's top chefs go head-to-head in a battle of speed and precision in the annual shucking competition.


If oysters aren't your style, a full range of foodie options will be available from Tim Sweeny's acclaimed Irish fusion menu.

Don't forget the annual Oyster Festival at The Last Jar on 24 May, it will be a craic!
