There's nothing like a swap meet to grab a bargain, and you're going to get that opportunity this year,
every Saturday from Sat 16 Jan to Sat 31 Jul 2021, 7am to 11am (
excluding Christmas and New Year and weather permitting) in the
south-east corner of the
Newpark Shopping Centre carpark at
64 Marangaroo Drive, Girawheen. If you're interested in selling, rather than buying, just turn up on the day and you'll be assisted by one of the Lions Club's friendly team. It's just $10 a bay, and
do note that items being sold
cannot be new or fresh produce.
Hosted by the
Lions Club of Girrawheen, this
Saturday Swap Meet will fire up your imagination with over 100 bays to browse through. What will you upcycle, recycle, or repurpose? The list is as vast as your imagination. You'll find bikes, fishing equipment, toys, tools, car parts, baby items, jewellery, garden ornaments, and even manure to name a few.
It's worthwhile coming down, if for no other reason than to support the Lions Club who do so much charity work for the community when they're in need. All of their profits go to charities that fill the needs of family who are doing it tough, food bank, MS bike run, Australia Day breakfast and so on. They get involved in humanitarian efforts locally, nationally and internationally. If you'd like to join them or support them in their endeavours to give back to the community, head to the website to
become a member.
