Cheap books with lots of great finds

Nothing is more satisfying than rummaging through a good book sale. Whatever is on your mind a book on that topic just seems to leap out at you. It is no surprise that a few second-hand books in the world go under the name Serendipity.

Then there are those valuable finds, such as first editions with covers or some childhood classic you have kept the memory of in your heart and would love to read to your own children.

So it is great news that the annual Lions Book Sale will be on the 17th and 18th of May at Glen Waverley on the corner of Waverley and Springvale Roads.

They have some 8000 titles for you to rummage through and they are really cheap - on average about $3 a pop with children's books at 50 cents each.

There is a huge range of fiction including loads of classics through to some of the latest titles. These are grouped alphabetically which really helps when you are on a mission to find your favourite author.

If you love your non-fiction there are heaps of books arranged by subject. You'll find something on everything including travel, history, humour, health, self-help and DIY as well as a good collection of autobiography .

Kids are really well catered for with sections for teenagers, pre-teens and 1-5 years.

All books are in good condition, many near new.

Lions Club members have a wonderful community minded work ethic which means that the money they raise goes to make a difference in their local communities and beyond.

And you get the benefit of cheap books.
