Have Great Fun while helping Lioness Club raise Funds
It's that time of the year again, for the Lioness Club of Beachmere's Spring Festival, the annual fundraiser. It will be held on Saturday October 22nd, from 8 am to 2 pm in Clayton Park, Moreton Tce, Beachmere.
This event is always popular – as the local community come together for fun and to assist the Lioness Club raise money for their many projects in the region.
There will be many stalls including 3D Pics, Cambodian Scarves, Sarongs, Jewellery, Potted Plants (including gingers, anthuriums and more), Cosy Cushions, Lions Christmas Cakes and Puddings, Fresh Fruit and Veggies from a Farm, Springvale Wines and Honey, Icecreams, Gluten-free Snags and more.
Entertainment includes Face and Body Painting, Sumo Wrestling, Clowns, Baby Chicken Display, Scorpion Line Dancers, Beachmere State School Choir, Community Choir, Dance4Kids, Zumba, and singer Lyndal Smith will be performing.
Some other fun events included the Famous Annual Pet Parade, and this year, a Thong Throwing Competition. There will also be a Dry Regatta – folk make their own "boat", which must be environmentally friendly and safe. Perhaps you could win the 'Best Decorated Boat'?
It's all about fun for all, and Grownups Playing Kids.
