The Long Shot is a new body of work inspired by Jacqui's long-held fascination with early colonial times in Australia. Based on extensive research she presents a new version of Ned Kelly's family history, focussing on Kelly's mother, Ellen. You're invited to interact with a series of life-size figurative sculptural works made from collected and found materials.
My Mother's Keeper features a film and a series of new photographs that centres on the urgent need for us to protect and conserve the land and our environment. It points to the importance of equipping and passing on the right skills and knowledge to the next generation to implement positive changes as the future custodians of the land.
Routes / Roots delves into cultural objects that have been collected and removed from country since the beginning of colonisation. Researching the travel and trade routes of ancestors and reconsidering them in a contemporary context, the finely balanced process of thousands of years of maintenance and care of resources are investigated.
Head over to Linden New Art on an artistic adventure that feeds the soul, challenges the mind and sits well in the heart, for what is life without art.
