Ballarat International Foto Biennale (BIFB is a two month-long festival of photography held every two years. In an Australian exclusive, the 2021 Biennale is presenting an exclusive look back at the career of world-famous photographer Linda McCartney (1948 - 1998).
Curated by Paul, Mary and Stella McCartney, Linda McCartney: Retrospective is on display at the Art Gallery of Ballarat from 15 September, 2021 to 9 January, 2022.

The exhibition will feature more than 200 extraordinary photographs, including images of the McCartney family, the 1960s music scene, and a series of prints from the McCartney's time to Australia between 1975 and 1993, which have never been shown before.
Linda McCartney (née Eastman) photographic career spanned from 1965 to 1997, during which bore witness to the evolution of pop and youth culture as we know it.
Among the artists she photographed included The Rolling Stones, Otis Redding, B.B. King, The Doors, The Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, The Beach Boys,The Who, Cream, The Kinks, Traffic, The Byrds, Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles. She was the first female photographer whose work was featured as the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in 1968, with a portrait of Eric Clapton. Linda passed away from breast cancer in 1998.
