Every time I plan to write this article I get so caught up in eating and drinking, I forget to take any pictures or notes. Unfortunately I have had to return for my forth lunch in 2 weeks in order to get the necessary information I needed for this article. Poor me!
If you live locally and are anything like me, loving coffee and cafes then you have probably exhausted almost every cafe on offer up and down the coast. So it's great when you find a new place, that is pretty awesome.
Lime is based on Chevron Island, I have just recently moved there - so was on the hunt for my lunchtime caffeine fix. From the cafes based on Chevron, I really loved the look of Lime with its fresh, simple decor and extensive menu.
The staff are always super friendly and you get a real sense of community going in there, they always remember the last conversation they have with you, so being new to that area its nice to feel welcomed. They are always pretty busy, but I have never had to wait too long, had poor service and the food and drinks are always presented really well, even when they are rushed off their feet.
The food is delicious and the portion sizes really good, and not overly priced like some cafes can be. Coffee is very well made and the treats are just yummy, I highly recommend the Strawberry Cheesecake!
There is a small park and BBQ area just a block away so you can always get takeaway and sit and overlook the river, if you don't want to sit in. But it has plenty of seating inside and out, and although on the road, it doesn't take away from the relaxed, chilled atmosphere. Plus on super hot days all the windows completely open, so you get a great breeze throughout.
