What a surprise to find that there is a cafe in Castle Hill that is every bit as good as the popular Panzerotti Cafe in Sydney CBD. What do they have in common? They both offer Schibello coffee, a smooth Black Label blend of sweet Guatemalan and Costa Rican beans. Delightful.
But it doesn't stop there. The interesting thing about this cafe is that the owner dabbles in dressmaking and jewellery; not just a pretty face or an artful barista! A selection of classic garments and lustrous adornments is on display.
A welcome reprieve from tacky food court coffee vendors in the nearby Castle Towers, Lilyz cafe's atmosphere exudes style and grace and has a friendly service to boot. Milkshakes are better than you expect and if you've brought the kiddies a delicious array of ice-creams are available.
Typical cafe food is on offer, but exotic additions such as Lebanese spreads can be requested and the labne is divine. Copious cold water jugs are on tables so you are never left parched. The cafe lover's every need is satisfied and when the meal is over, you are a hop, skip and a jump from public transport to return home.
