A Saturday evening spent with family under the stars
It's time to say a final goodbye to the popular Lightsview Outdoor Movie Festival 2016, featuring its concluding film 'Boxtrolls' on April 23. Boxtrolls is based on the popular children's novel 'Here be Monsters' by Alan Snow and tells the story of a young boy named 'Eggs' who is raised by mischievous creatures and attempts to save the species from an evil exterminator. From the creators of Coraline, Boxtrolls is bound to be a highly entertaining, visually aesthetic and intriguing film for the whole family.
This successful all-ages movie event has seen families and friends gather at Strand Reserve in Northgate for evenings of relaxation and quality down time. Be there as the sun sets at 5.45pm, where the kids can enjoy a pre-screening of cartoons at 6pm prior to Boxtrolls commencing at 6.15pm. Remember to bring a rug and some blankets, as it's bound to be a little chilly out.
The Lightsview Outdoor Movie Festival has received a positive response from the local community, bringing neighbours, new residents and diverse people together. What's more, it's a perfect way to conclude the twilight film season and spend a quality Saturday evening with loved ones, plus it's free!
