Lobethal is not just a town in the Adelaide Hills with a small population of approximately 2000 people. Each year, it hosts a big community Christmas light display for all to enjoy.

The Lights of Lobethal festival begins on Sunday the 10th of December 2017 with a 'lights on' ceremony. Characters from Beauty and the Beast will open the festival and switch on the lights. This is then followed by a fireworks display. These lights will remain lit each night until Saturday the 30th of December 2017. A map can be downloaded from their website to help you find the displays.

In addition to the light displays, the Centenial Hall Market will also be open every night of the festival except Christmas Day. You can browse through some arts and craft stalls as well as a range of local produce.

Presented by the Hills Christian Churches, you can also enjoy a traditional re-enactment of the events of the very first Christmas. This 15-minute Living Nativity show will be accompanied by Biblical text and carols. Performances are at 8.50pm and 9.20pm.
