After a challenging two years due to Covid, the Lights of Lobethal Festival will be having a bigger and brighter line-up to celebrate the 2022 festive season. This is the largest community light display in the southern hemisphere bringing joy to thousands of South Australians and visitors alike. The Lobethal Valley in the Adelaide Hills will be transformed into a fairyland of fantastical light installations.
This year, the festival will run from 10 December to 23 December 2022. Many other events include Carols in the Valley on Sunday 11 December, Living Nativity, nightly from 11 December, Valley of Praise Christmas Maze, 17 and 18 December and the Lobethal pageant on Sunday 10 December 2022. The Christmas Lights in Lobethal are always spectacular, even in back streets on the outer edge of the town..
Even where there had been bushfires nearby a few years ago they were spectacular. We were astounded how quickly they had cleared away the debris on the outskirts of the town too.
