The Festive Season is especially busy for Lifeline WA. It's when the loneliness for those without families, those living on the streets, or for many other reasons or situations can be heightened. From Lifeline's experience it's the time of the year when levels of anxiety, depression and suicide increase. On the brighter side, the festive season is also a time of generosity, a time of giving, and for many of us, appreciating what we have in the company of loved ones.
The Lights for Lifeline event and tree stands as a beacon of hope for all those in need and will be returning to Yagan Square on Friday 15 November 2019 from 12am to 12am everyday as part of City of Perth's Christmas Lights Trail, and will stay lit till Boxing Day 26 Dec 2019. Lit by more than 47,000 lights which represents the number of Western Australians who found support from Lifeline WA by calling 13 11 14 over the last 12 months; the lights of the Lights for Lifeline Christmas tree are going to be lit up on Friday 15 November 2019 at 5.30pm and you're invited to bring friends and family to be part of the community. A time to ponder the massive numbers of those in need in just 12 months.
You're invited to give the gift of life this Christmas! You can help by DONATING or voting for your favourite house on the Synergy Xmas Lights Trail, where Synergy will donate $1 for every vote.
Your contribution to this campaign will help Lifeline WA train new Telephone Crisis Support Volunteers and continue to provide valued existing volunteers with ongoing training and support so that they can help the thousands of people who call 13 11 14 each year for help. Be part of the solution and give generously.
