The
Leukaemia Foundation Light the Night event is a fundraiser to help light the way for those facing blood cancer. You can help provide the support and services they need by raising money and carrying a lantern.
There are multiple event locations across the nation, so I don't think it will be difficult to find one near you. In South Australia alone, there are nine to choose from - Adelaide (6th), Stirling (20th), Gawler (13th), Myponga (13th), Victor Harbor (6th), Halidon (6th), Peterborough (20th), Whyalla (28th) and Mt Gambier (6th) - all throughout the month of October.
The Adelaide event will be held at Victoria Square from 5.30pm on Friday the 6th of October 2017. After registrations and lantern collections, the stage program will commence at 6pm, followed by the lantern raising ceremony at 8pm and the Light the Night walk at 8.15pm.
If you're interested, getting involved is easy. Just search for the event you would like to join on their
website and reserve your lantern. Then ask around among your friends to give. And, light the night!
