For the Leukaemia Foundation of Australia, Light the Night is a raising of coloured lanterns that symbolises the hope for a future free of blood cancer and the support of a community that understands the darkness a blood cancer brings to lives. The funds raised by those taking part will help the Leukaemia Foundation light someone's way through the darkest days following a diagnosis, by providing support for families through every scary uncertain moment that follows a diagnosis.

Light the Night Beaufort will be held on Saturday 15 Oct 2022 from 5-11.30pm and you can register here to attend and for catering purposes. Do note that there's an entry fee of a $2 gold coin on the night. If you need any more information, contact Coordinator Eve Contencin on 0497 127 249.


This is a night of support, reflection and remembrance. More than that there's also entertainment and activities. A special Lantern Ceremony and Lantern Walk will take place at 9pm. There are activities for the kids that include lantern making, lantern colouring, a karaoke competition and so much more.

You'll find a clearer image of the lineup and timeframes of entertainment on the event page and the registration page . There's hot food, complimentary supper, finger food, cakes and slices. There are highland dancers, bagpipe player, kids activities, ballet and a whole lot more (as you can see from the image above), including a lucky door prize. Don't forget to show your support for the fundraiser by purchasing merchandise on the night like lantern cookie cutters, wrist bands that glow in the dark, including shoelaces that glow, hand knitted bears and more.
