The minds of little kids are like sponges. They thirst for knowledge and have a curiosity about everything in our world. Ipswich Art Gallery has created an interactive space, especially for children ages 3 to 8 years of age at their Gallery - D'Arcy Doyle Place, Ipswich. is running from now till the end of October 2021 and it's all FREE. You just need to register your attendance and book a 2 hour session to attend. The registration page has all the details about the drop-in sessions and which dates and timeframes need/don't need bookings.

This dazzling world of light play allows children to explore their artistic potential, play with overhead projectors and illuminated light boxes and discover what happens when light is cast on different materials. From transparency to reflection to shadows, they will be able to explore the different properties of light. See the Children's Gallery transform into a constantly evolving light scape before your very eyes! Embracing the philosophies of Reggio Emilia and Remida, this is a creative environment that encourages collaborative play, experimentation and discovery-based learning.
