Lifepool is the initiative of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. They are in search of 100,000 Victorian women to volunteer to continue research into prevention, screening and treatments related to reducing the impact of breast cancer.

Anyone who has had or intends to have a mammogram can enrol in the Lifepool project. They are looking for a representative sample so regardless of your history you are invited to join. So far 51,000 women have been recruited.

Why participate?
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Australian women. Hardly any adult is untouched by cancer.

Every woman who participates contributes important data to this worthy project.

What do you need to do?
This research is non-intrusive and requires minimal time. If you consent, your mammogram results will be collected but your privacy is protected.

You will be asked to complete a simple 30 min health and lifestyle questionnaire and patient information sheet. This can be completed in your own time. You can withdraw from the project at any time.

If you have any questions phone the number below. The receptionists are efficient and friendly. They can answer any questions.

You can make a difference. Be one of the Australian women helping breast cancer researchers find answers.
