This year, Lifeline is adding a new location to its book fair calendar: Macquarie University.
There will be more than 50,000 books available in over 50 general and specialist categories—including Art, Military, History, Cooking, Commercial Fiction and Literature. The collection of books specifically for young people — from babies and children to late-teens — will be particularly impressive in size and variety, and is sure to draw many families and school students to this fantastic new venue.
In addition, a rich selection of CDs and DVDs will be on offer, as will an extraordinary assortment of rare special volumes to tempt collectors -- including first editions of a wonderful range of Biggles books and a 1930 photographic record of the construction of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Whether you're an ardent book buff or first-time fair visitor, you will delight in browsing as well as bargain hunting through the staggering array of quality items on offer at a fraction of retail price.
Don't miss this fantastic community event and the opportunity to start on some early Christmas shopping and/or to stock up on your summer holiday reading.
And remember: every cent you spend will go towards Lifeline Harbour to Hawkesbury's suite of support and suicide prevention services, including the 24/7 telephone crisis hotline 13 11 14, community aid, and group counselling for people struggling with gambling, hoarding, financial issues, suicide bereavement and much more.
