Grab a book bargain and support community programs
Choose from a massive assortment of popular titles, historical classics and other book bargains over nine days at this year's Lifeline Brisbane Bookfest from 26 June to 4 July 2021 at the Brisbane Convention and Entertainment Centre.
Reading can bring so much enjoyment as well as provide a learning opportunity. Lifeline Bookfest is a readers and book lover's paradise with aisles and aisles of pre-loved books available for purchase. Books start from just $2.50. You can also find an array of magazines and puzzles, CDs and DVDs.
2021 is a welcome return to the event after being cancelled due to COVID is 2020. However, for ongoing community safety, this year's Bookfest will have a couple of changes.
Bookfest will be more spread out across three halls (that means no $1 section this year, but lots of $2.50 and high-quality books).
Numbers in the halls will be restricted; once capacity is reached in the halls, it will be one in, one out.
Visitors will need to check in with the Queensland Government's Check-in Qld app on arrival.
Sales will be card-only (no cash).
The Bookfest will be open from 8:30 AM till 6 PM from Saturday 26 June to Sunday 4 July. Look out for an early start on Saturday 26 June with a special opening at 7:30 am as well as Bookfest Up Late on Friday 2 July where it will stay open until 9 pm. The Brisbane Convention Centre is located at Glenelg Street, South Brisbane, just 2 minutes from the CBD.
While this is an opportunity to find your next favourite read, you will do so knowing that funds raised from Bookfest go towards Lifeline's Community Services and Programs such as crisis support.
