A room without books is like a body without a soul Cicero

The Bi-Annual Bookfest is here; for the second time in the same year you can take advantage of the incredible Lifeline Bookfest Sunshine Coast to be held at the beautiful Lake Kawana Community Centre, 114 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina, Sunshine Coast from Thursday, 17 to Sunday, 20 September, 2015. Doors will be open from 8.30am until 4.00pm daily.

Entry to this bookworm's paradise is FREE. Getting out might be more expensive when you see the quality and quantity of books and other kit on sale. There's going to be over 10,000 pre-loved books for prices as low as $1. This really is a case of; 'If you snooze, you lose'.

Seek, and ye shall find

Lifeline Bookfest Sunshine Coast will be in the big, air-conditioned Community Centre under blue skies and with a gentle lake breeze to perfectly complement a family fun day out on the Sunshine Coast. It's easy to lose yourself at the Lifeline Bookfest Sunshine Coast with over 160 trestle tables covered with every variety of books including mystery, fantasy, humour, crime, romance, non-fiction and fiction, sports, novels and children's books. As the sale progresses the tables are continuously restocked so be sure to come back over and over again during the sale.

The Bookfest is split into two sections:
The Priced Section where all the books are individually priced, and

To get the best bargains come early and bring your own bags, backpacks or suitcases to carry your purchases home. With prices low as a $1 you are assured of getting the best bargains around.

The car boot won't do it; you'll need the ute

To add to the experience the Lifeline Bookfest Sunshine Coast also has a wide selection of pre-loved CDs, DVDs and records on sale at the Lifeline Bokarina Store an easy two minutes' walk away at 394 Nicklin Way, Bokarina. Music is the focus of the Bokarina store and, Shelley, the store's Supervisor, is a specialist in the music scene. If you can't find that rare and collectable vinyl record you've been searching for all these years ask Shelley and you never know your luck.

The best way to find a bargain is to make sure you ferret around and look at absolutely everything. You never know what could be hiding behind another book.

In Queensland Lifeline services and shops are run by UnitingCare Community a leading provider of community services and programmes for individuals, families and children. Lifeline Bookfests are important fundraising events and the Sunshine Coast's is no different. It is hoped the four days of the Sunshine Coast Lifeline's Bookfest will raise $50,000 with the proceeds going to support Lifeline services such as the 24 hour 13 11 14 Crisis Support Line.

So come and help the community as you help yourself to some of those fabulous bargains everybody gets when they go to a Lifeline Bookfest you might not be able to stop yourself.
