Lose yourself finding a surprise at Lifeline Bookfest
The great thing about bookfests is that you can stock up for an inexpensive amount of money and then return the read books to the Lifeline bins when finished. I know of childcare workers who do exactly this for their centres. There is nothing more relaxing that curling up with a good book on a rainy or winter's day.

Anything and everything can be found at the Lifeline Bookfest with titles that include health and fitness, children's, cooking, fiction, limited editions, magazines, the list goes on and on. Lifeline is a national well-known charity providing a twenty-four hour service to all Australians who are experiencing a personal crisis. Lifeline receives calls every minute on various subjects from suicidal thoughts or attempts, personal crisis, anxiety, depression, loneliness, abuse, trauma, stress etc. and guides the caller through a number of options and services. All funds raised will support Lifeline and UnitingCare Community programs for individuals, families and children. You can give a donation to Lifeline or offer to volunteer some time to their good cause. If you would like to assist at the Gold Coast Bookfest, you can call the team on 07 5510 4555.
Prices for books begin at just fifty cents and it's not uncommon for customers to leave with big bags full of books. From past experience, it is best to get in early to grab the best bargain, otherwise what you are looking for may be long gone before you get there.
