The famous annual LifeLine Bookfest is hitting Brisbane 7 - 10 June.

This must-do event is the largest second-hand book fair in the world and is a truly unique shopping experience.

No matter what your text of choice is, there is bound to be something to please.

The essential info:

Where: Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Merivale Street, South Brisbane
When: 7 10 June 2014

What is on offer:
Well, naturally, books, but there are also a great range of other items such as cds, vinyls, dvds, board games and more.

But this is a trip that you don't want to be rushed into. Trust me, you will want to browse the amongst the myriad of books .... whether it be mystery, fantasy, humour, crime, romance, fact or fiction.

The book categories:
To make life easy (thanks Lifeline) they have three main groupings to purchase:

1. High Quality: 'Prices as Marked' for all near new and quality stock, including vintage, rare and collectable books. All books are priced inside the cover. Who knows what amazing finds you will score!

2. The $2.50 Section: this is all the books that are still of great quality - but considered pre-loved. There are no books in this section over $2.50.

3. The $1 Section: this is the section for serious bargain hunters, and contains more of the 'well-thumbed' varieties. All books priced inside the cover. This section features children's bargain books - some two for $1.

Then, of course, within these three categories are all the types of gems you can find. Lifeline has categorised them into a wide range of topics: Children's; Australiana; History; Reference; Humour and Oddities; Biography; Literature and Classics; Textbooks; Travel; Health; Science Fiction; Hardback Fiction; Art and Music; Paperback Fiction; Cooking; Computers; Religion; Foreign Language; Vehicles and War Craft; Hobbies; Sport; Gardening; Animals; Penguins and Pelicans; Economics; Sociology; Philosophy; and Science.
