Live theatre lives again
Naomi Clasohm and Will Wallace in Birdbath
The Lind Theatre in Nambour is busier than ever before with productions delayed multiple times by Covid. In Life and Death, audiences will get a chance to see the work of three directors who haven't directed at the Lind before.
Directing for the first time at the Lind: Candido Minitti, Britt Love, Lua Bruckhoff
Birdbath is a drama directed by Candido Minitti. It is a boy meets girl love story unlike any other.
Wendy Silvester, Samantha Prosser, and Sangita Ghodke, in Ali
In Ali, directed by Lua Bruckhoff, a young refugee goes missing at his school after his visa is rejected. Three teachers wait to be questioned by police. Will Ali be deported? Did the teachers help him escape? A purposeful and contemplative drama.
Taylor Rost and Cec Rebetzke in Time Out
Time Out, written by Judith Boyd and directed by Britt Love, is a black comedy.
Performances are August 4 - 6, and the matinee on August 6 has two bonus performances at 1pm, by our under 18s.
Twice Upon a Time, directed by Kathy Hickson, is a fractured fairy tale.
The Cagebirds is a classic drama directed by highly experienced director Judith Boyd.
The Cage Birds
These plays will go on to represent the Lind at the Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre Festival.
