Dispelling Grief through Art
Last chance this week to take in the vibrant abstract art exhibition 'Life after Constancy' by Merryl Costin. Merryl threw herself back into her artistic endeavours after a period of grieving for her husband of many years, expressing herself in vivid splashes of colour.
Merryl has painted in many genres, but maintains that abstract art allows her to express her creativity, emotion and imagination. Close family has been a big part of the healing process and her grandchildren are also featured.
The historic town of Pomona is in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and is well worth a visit in itself. Pick up a brochure and follow the heritage trail. You never know what you might discover.
