An eatery named after its chef, Li Li's is a traditional Chinese restaurant with quite a magnificent history with respect to Li Li himself. Coming from a generation of professional cooks, Li Li's grandfather apparently served as chef for the final emperor of China, before the country became a Communist State.
The recipes in Li Li's grandfather's possession were the Emporer's favourite dishes. They were handed down from generation to generation, until they landed in the hot little hand of Li Li himself. Unlike the many quasi-Chinese restaurants where dishes are heavily influenced by the host culture, Li Li's belongs to that very tiny echelon of original recipe Chinese cuisine.
That said, you won't find anything on the menu under $55. Thus, there really isn't safety in numbers when you come to this restaurant. Li Li's is fully licensed and all major credit cards are accepted.
