If the people witnessing the famous scene in the movie "The 7-Year Itch," where Marilyn Monroe stands over a subway grating and allows her skirt to blow and billow all around her had been a little quieter, this part of New York City would have gone down in cinematic history. However, the crowd noise made it impossible to use the actual location on Lexington Avenue.

You don't have to worry about being quiet, however, when you attend the Lexington Avenue Summer Spectacular on July 17, 2011. It would be impossible to do so, anyway, because you'll be too busy exclaiming over the different displays and vendors that will be set up along Lexington Avenue, from 23rd Street to 34th Street.

This New York City street, which is over 5 miles in length, is already known for its many shopping and entertainment venues. During the Lexington Avenue Summer Spectacular, you have the opportunity to see the different places on Lexington Avenue as you stroll from one booth or display to the other. You'll have plenty of time to do so, too, because the hours are from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

Admission is free, so bring the whole family with you.
