During my recent visit to the Blue Mountains, I decided to drop into Leura for lunch before heading back home to Sydney.

What struck me when I first walked into the cafe was the fresh looking dishes being served by the busy staff. As the staff were busy serving clients, organising seating and clearing tables, I knew with the high turnover of customers coming and going, that the food would be fresh and appetising.

From the menu, I ordered the homemade gnocci with goat cheese and an ice coffee. While waiting to receive my meal, I caught a glimpse of what was referred to as 'boards' on the menu. They came in different varieties such as meat, vegetarian, cheese and ocean. Just watching staff walking around with these dishes was mouth watering.

My meal was served in a reasonable time and while I was surprised to see the portion of food on my plate, I found the dish to be tasty and quite rich and when finished I was quite full and couldn't eat anymore. The ice coffee was also great and I'd be happy to have another at anytime.

One point I do have to make is that I did have to wait for a while to be served, and the pricing was a little steep for my liking but overall the food was great and I'd happy drop in for a bite again next time I visit Leura.
