There's nothing quite like a juicy roadside burger to satisfy the nighttime hunger pangs. I'm sure any Malaysian would agree that the typical burger Ramly is so many times juicier and more satisfying than anything you can find in a fast food joint. This particular stall can be found in Taman Greenwood, Gombak. Just a short drive away from my grandmother's house, my family and I sometimes stop by for dinner or a late night snack on the way home.
A little bit of history now! LeTua Burger is named for the LeTua Cycling Team - the resident head burger sizzler is a veteran cyclist and one of the founding members of the team.
For comparison, here are some burger patties sizzling away - present are both beef and chicken varieties. The smaller patties are your standard Ramly sizing, while the bigger ones are the LeTua monster specialty.
This photo doesn't do this burger justice. I have yet to snap a photo of a roadside burger that truly captures the delightful oozing of mayonnaise, chilli and barbeque sauces, the beauty of that first, eggy bite of meat. The few stools grouped around the stall mean you can dig in on the spot, sinking your teeth into a burger that's fresh off the grill.
