Opa- It is going to be one fantastic day out with this Event
Parramatta will be going Greek this September with the Let's Go Greek Festival. The multicultural and family-friendly festival will be showcasing a jam-packed program filled with all things Greek including Greek food galore, music, dance, entertainment, performances, cultural exhibits, displays, market stalls, firework displays and much more.

Let's Go Greek Festival will be presented by the Greek Orthodox Parish and Community of Parramatta and this event has become one of Parramatta and Western Sydney's premier Greek Cultural event.

There will something for everyone with authentic cultural entertainment, traditional food, carnival rides for all ages, market stalls, shows, activities and farm animals.

Highlights on the day will include:

Delicious and authentic Greek Food including Souvlaki, Loukoumades (Greek Doughnuts), Baklava and many other delicacies from all areas of Greece.

Greek entertainment which will feature Greek superstars and Greek Australian act performances, live Greek music and musical performances and acts, dance shows and performances and traditional performances.

Carnival rides will be showcased at the festival. There will be carnival rides for all ages with a large selection of amusement and carnival rides including dodgem cars, spinning teacups, giant slide, slot cars and many more. Unlimited Carnival Ride tickets will be available at the ticket booth at the festival.

Sideshow attractions will include carnival entertainment, games and sideshow rides.

Children's entertainment will include farm animals, face painting, science shows, real-life donkey with photo opportunities and petting.

Firework display show will feature an incredible display to end the Greek festivities at 6pm.

Competitions will include the Loukoumades Eating Contest- if you are up for the challenge you can enter on the day of the Festival at the Information Desk. The competitions will include feasting on the delicious loukoumades with prizes to be won at the same time.

The raffle is promising to be the best ever with $10 per ticket and prizes include Suzuki Swift Auto $18,990 Suttons Homebush Suzuki, White Goods Package $4,500 from Fisher & Paykel, Two return tickets to Greece from Mega Travel and fourth prize will be a Pearl Set valued at $2,600 from Bowerhaus.

Exhibitions will include Eternal Macedonia Greece- 3,000 Years of History and Civilization from The Pan Macedonian Association of NSW.

Cooking Demonstrations will be held by David Tsirekas- Consultant Chef. Cooking demonstrations will feature food tastings and learning how to make Greek classics.

With so many things to do, see, experience and enjoy, Let's Go Greek Festival is a must-attend during this September.

Getting Here:

Travelling by Car:
There will be ample street parking around the Festival. There will also be parking at 30 George St, Parramatta which has 2-hours free parking or a flat rate for the whole day for $10.

Train Station:
The closest train station to the Festival will be Parramatta Station- this is a 14-minute walk to the Festival.
