Sunday 29 April 2018 from 9am to 11.30am is set aside for an awesome family fun day at Kurilpa Point Park (near GoMA), 11 Montague Rd, South Brisbane. Hosted by Let's Get Awesome for Autism and AEIOU, you're invited to this FREE event so all Brisbane families can celebrate Autism Awareness Month by spreading the message and having fun at the same time.
Kicking off at 9am, this event has a tailored program courtesy of Ginger Sports. There'll be other craft activities, face painting and food trucks. The Federal Assistant Minister for Disability Services Jane Prentice is the special guest of the day, along with AEIOU's newest ambassadors.
It's a no brainer that early intervention results in life-changing benefits. Read a firsthand account of the hardships and triumphs of parenting triplets; two with an autism diagnosis, in former Bray Park parent Paulette Mosen's new book 'Turning Turtle', which will be available on the day. Spread awareness and bring family and friends to a fun-filled event. More details about the event will come to hand closer to date, so keep an eye on the event page.
