Let Fall is a moment plucked out of time, to escape with a haunting soundscape playing in your ear, as you take a breather. It's a short 20 minute contemporary dance film performed by its creator Jareen Wee. Wearing simple flowing garments created by Te Orihau Karaitiana (MATU) that cries out freedom from constriction, in fabrics of the earth in muted colours, one of the locations Jareen dances through is the beautiful Warratina Lavender Farm.
In our busy lives, we can barely sit still for a minute to just breathe. To prepare for this event, you need to shake off the stresses of your everyday life, concentrate on what's in front of you as in meditation, and immerse yourself in the visual flowing movements and the calming dance of the soundscape. The short section of vocals embedded is genius, as it builds light and shade to what you're hearing. Do what this piece has intended; create space for yourself, for your emotions and celebrate the healing power of connection and expression. Let Jareen's movements and expressive hands that draw attention to focal points guide you. Her movements are seamless and flowing. Just breathe, relax, and enjoy. Claim your 20 minutes of intentional
me time.
